The Exemplary Practice Awards are given to PATH programs that have made
significant improvements in the lives of individuals with serious mental
illnesses and those with co-occurring substance use disorders who are
homeless or at imminent risk of homelessness. This year,
33
applications were received across three award categories: Leadership and
Collaboration, Consumer Empowerment, and Data Collection and Reporting.
Each of the award recipients was honored at the 2010 PATH Grantee
Meeting, and had the opportunity to present their programs in workshops
to meeting attendees.
The Exemplary Practice Awards were
presented to the top rated program in each of the three categories on
Thursday, December 9, 2010. Recipients of this year's awards were:
- The Center for Urban Community Services (CUCS) Re-entry Coordination
System of New York, New York (Leadership and Collaboration awardee)
- Colorado Coalition for the Homeless of Denver, Colorado (Consumer
Empowerment awardee)
- Brattleboro Area Drop-In Center of Brattleboro,
