Description:
Caring Across Cultures: The Providers Guide to Cross-Cultural Health Care is a resource guide for providers concerned about cultural competence. It was developed by The Center for Cross-Cultural Health for use by health care and human service professionals.
This second edition contains much of the information that was in the first edition, which includes chapters on developing cultural competence, communication across cultures, and issues in interpreting, but all material has been revised and updated. New chapters have been added on cross cultural mental health, spirituality and health across cultures, nine community profiles of groups in Minnesota, an expanded reference section and suggestions for further reading, as well as additional tools and cross cultural health models.
