Focus of Work:  Local, State, National

I focus on the human stories that comprise a national narrative of poverty, survival, struggle, solutions, and hope. In listening to others and telling their stories, I share in a collective growth towards wellness. My greatest mentors are the people I interview. As they bring their own stories to life, I am able to frame an ongoing dialogue that examines who we are as humans and how the language of our experiences generates opportunity. As a woman and mother in recovery, I write about the power of change--and the services, people and programs that offer compassion and solutions. I have three young children, Henry, Lucinda and Frances. Their curiosity, love, and intuition teach and guide me every day.
