Originally from a small town in Montana, Jacob Lile graduated Magna cum Laude from the University of California, Berkeley where he studied Cultural Anthropology and the Social Literature of Latin America. Additionally he holds a credential in Family Development from Cornell University and is pursuing a Master’s degree in Public Administration at San Francisco State University (2011). Having been homeless as a child he has a dedicated passion for families in crisis and has been working with at-risk youth and families since 1999 in a career that has taken him across the United States and into Mexico. Mr. Lile has been employed with Shelter Network since 2005 and has served as a Bilingual Case Manager, Housing Specialist and currently is the Program Director of the Family Crossroads transitional shelter, and all "Housing First" pograms including AOD Housing Readiness, Achieve 180 (for ex-offenders) and homless prevention/rapid re-housing programs . He also represents Shelter Network on the North County Family Self Sufficiency Team and Economic Emergency Food and Shelter workgroup. Mr. Lile is fluent in Spanish.
