Presently I teach several course in both the undergraduate and graduate programs in The Social Work Department of Lehman College, CUNY. My doctoral dissertation and subsequent publication, " Hope Springs Maternal; Homeless Mothers Talk about Making Sense of Adversity " has received positive reviews in several scholarly journals.
I also am actively involved in serveral grass roots organizations advocating for housing justice in NYC and Nationally.
I have several research interests. Among these are the possibility of intergenerational programs for persons without homes: Students without homes in public and private institutions of higher learning. I am also co chair of the housing committee of The Gray Panthers, New York City Network. Thus the interest in intergenerational programs, sharing wisdom and housing.
